Maggie's new favorite hairstyle

I have always heard that children are sponges but until you see it first hand you cannot understand the meaning of that statement. All children are different, some are more easily influenced than others. Maggie would fall under the category of easily influenced. She sees things in books, on billboards, movies (strictly approved of course), catalogues, on other people, etc and she notices the details. She notices what they wear, say, sing, how they act, interact. It's amazing and scary. It's always a constant reminder of how important it is for us parents to make sure that our children walk with the wise and are surrounded by godly influences.

Maggie's inspiration for her new hairstyle,
a picture from her book.
She said she needed a ponytail with a bow
and a braid and promptly went for the book to show me....
It matters, those little things that you think don't matter,
those influences matter. Thankfully this influence was a
good one. : )

So pretty! I did Esther's hair that way yesterday...minus the bow. I'll have to add that next time!

Well said! It's amazing how much they soak up that we don't even realize. And I LOVE Maggie's new hairstyle - so little girl sweet. :)

How precious! When we were outside last night, our neighbor's daughter put her hand on her hip and rolled her eyes at her mother. She said she learned it from the movie Tangled. It's scary how quickly children can pick things up! Praise the Lord for safe books and movies.
