We spent Black Friday canning applesauce. Hello Black Friday savings. : )

Jeremy surprised us with an impromtpo plan to take a "stay"cation.

We originally were talking about going to Gatlinburg but with the mileage/money and crowds we decided to have a little time away in town.

He picked us out a super nice hotel downtown with a generous sized suite and an enormous hot breakfast bar! It put all other hotels to shame!

We spent a lot of time talking and thankfully it was warmish and we were able to spend a good bit of time walking outside.

We had our Saturday Thanksgiving meal at my parent's and then went back to the hotel where the children enjoyed an afternoon (indoor) swim with Daddy.

We took a walk to a nearby dinner and got one piece of a Coke flavored 7 layer cake which we ate in the eating area of the hotel near the insanely tall Christmas tree.

For dinner we road the free downtown shuttle to our favorite pizza joint and shared a large pizza and lots of water.

Afterwards we rode the shuttle to see the downtown (electronic) window presentation the local electric company puts up each year.

After a little viewing we walked back to the room to share in some hot chocolate memories.
It was a wonderful weekend; something I can't wait to repeat!

What a wonderful weekend. I have thought before it would be fun to get a hotel in downtown Chattanooga and just walk around and see all if really has to offer. Theres so much to do there. We love the fireworks around the 4th but I hate the traffic and the late night driving home but I.m sure it would be really expensive then. Hope your visit with physical therapy goes well for the baby she is a doll!
