No big deal, right? But for me it is. For one, I don't like taking the time to drag out all the supplies and clean up the mess afterwards. Bad of me, I know.
But when the children are being productive and quite, I always take that time to get as much done as possible.
I like being busy. I don't like sitting. It's a hard thing to do.
It's hard for me to read aloud to them. It requires sitting and that means I'm not "getting stuff done" around the house.
But that stuff I do around the house, all the cleaning, purging, organizing, it's still gonna be there after I spent my bit of time enjoying things like, painting and reading.
So I painted and the girls loved it. Of course they want to know when we'll be doing it again and I might just say "today".

I love that you took the time to paint with your babies. I can completely relate that I often have a hard time sitting,especially when so many tasks seem to pile up. Good work, Emily!
