7 years, 16 months, & 4 months

*My anniversary gift - waiting for me on the counter when I woke up

Saturday marked the anniversary of 7 years of our marriage. In a lot of ways 7 years have flown by but in other ways it seems like we've always been one. Thankfully those memories prior to marriage are becoming farther and farther away.

*attached to my anniversary letter, only because he knows me oh so well

Jeremy had to work on Saturday so most of the day it was myself and the littles. We didn't do much. We did enjoy an non-traditional lunch of cream cheese with jam and crackers, diced ham,  cheese, and cantaloupe. Strange, huh? Not sure how balanced of a meal it was. We ate it picnic style in the living room and no one seemed to mind if it was healthy or not.

Katie turned 16 months on our an anniversary. She's a tiny little thing, weighing a mere 19 pounds. I've no wonder why as the little thing doesn't stay still for a minute, not even in her sleep. She here's and there, UP there, down there, into this, into that. She's got quite a vocabulary and loves to help unload the dishwasher, throw things in the trash (including things that do NOT go in the trash....like money), be in the middle of whatever her siblings are do, and keep us in stitches at her antics.

She is extremely attached to her blanket and paci. I had her weaned from the except for naps and bedtime until we got sick in DC. It took so long her to get completely over her sickness, plus she teething, that she's now an addict again. Urg.

For our anniversary dinner we went to our favorite local diner. The waitresses and cooks (all mostly older women, I don't even think there is a man that works there) love the kiddos so it's a really nice atmosphere. Maggie made them a drawing and took it to them and I've never seen just sweet responses. It was hanging on the way when we left.

They have the most amazing homemade ranch dressing. Yum, yum. All the dinners come with salad which 3 of my 4 love. Zion I think loves it most of all. He ate 2 platefuls, minus what he was wearing on his face. After dinner we indulged in fresh made milkshakes, one strawberry and one vanilla with orange Fanta. Oh my! It was a great way to start off our 8th year of marriage and I love that it was all of us a family.

And Saturday marked the 4 month countdown for baby #5. I go to the Dr next week for my 24 week check-up. Hopefully by then I'll an have updated baby belly picture. So not doing well with that.

Happy Anniversary!! What a great way to savor the day :-)

Loved your lunch idea. So fun and yummy!

I wouldn't worry about a blankie or paci. The eventually stop using them kind of like wetting the bed or learning how to go potty on the toliet. They learn, they grow. The trick is to try and enjoy each stage. They go by so quickly.

So glad you had a nice Anniversary. What a blessing.

And you look great. A perfect picture of a happy Mama :-)

hugs~ Cinnamon

Cinnamon,

I have to agree. I love that Katie loves her blanket. She's my first to care about having any kind of lovie. It's so adorable. She likes to put up to her nose and breathe in it. : )

Happy Anniversary! What a wonderful gift! I did without a KA mixer for most of my marriage, but now that I have one- what a time saver! It's so great to be able to walk away and work on other things :)

And one other thing- Bekah has yet to top 20 lbs. too. I think she's getting close, but she'll be 3 in 4 months!!! I chalk it up to the same thing you do- she is ALWAYS on the move.

Anyway, sounds like you had a lovely day! I love that you celebrate the beginning of your family with your children too :) ♥

Quinn,

I love the KA mixer. Yesterday was the first day I used it and I used 4 times. Once for energy balls, once to shred chicken (most awesome thing EVER), once for the spread for dinner, and once for salad dressing. Amazing.

I can't believe Bekah is so petite. She is so adorable in your posts. I can't believe she is almost 3. I still remember waiting on you to go into labor. 3! Oh my. Of course I should know that since her and Zion are almost the same age. Katie hasn't gained weight in I know know when. I'm terrible at keeping records but I do know that she has gotten a good bit taller. I put a dress on her that she wore before the Christmas season and it was way above her knees. Ah!
