More Food Love

In the dead of winter, in the cold and drizzly days, one must keep busy to keep sane. So the littles and I have been trying a few more new recipes. We are loving Pinterest for finding new yummy things to put in our tummies.

Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies - these are SO good! The kids loved helping and they freeze great!

The Best Chocolate Sheet Cake - I think I already mentioned this one but you really need to try it.

No Bake Chocolate Chip Granola Bars - This is the first granola bar I've made that actually stays together. It's sweet, a little too sweet but I'm afraid to mess with it since it actually holds together. : )

Creamy Chicken Spaghetti - This was loved by all. I ate it and loved it and I hate olives. : ) It took me forever to make the cream sauce though. I was using a new stainless steel pan and didn't want to burn the sauce. Normally I think the time frame will be much shorter. Leftovers were great too! Even Jeremy liked the leftovers.

Smashed Potatoes - I mentioned these at New Year's but they were a huge hit!

Parmesan Baked Potato Halves - we had these with our lunch today and there were great. I used shredded Parmesan and they didn't have quite the crusty layer like in the picture but they were really good. Make sure you let them rest in the pan a good 5 - 10 minutes before serving them so the crusty will stick to the top of the potato. : )

Peasant Bread - Okay. If I never get another recipe off of Pinterest it was worth it just for this one! It is hands down the best bread Jeremy and I have ever had, homemade, store bought, or restaurant made. Super easy and so so good. It's kind of a sourdough texture without the sour. : )

Mini Meatball Sandwiches - These weren't "to die for" but they were a nice change from the type of food that we normally eat.

Thanks a lot, Emily. ;) I guess I'll be doing some re-pinning soon!
